How Much Does an Oris Artelier Watch Cost?

Introduced in 2003, the Oris Artelier collection proves to be a worthy competitor against other popular luxury brands with its robust features and affordable prices. This is due to the expert craftsmanship and luxurious designs poured into each Oris Artelier watch—making it an instant hit with watch enthusiasts.

That said, just how much does an Oris Artelier watch cost?

Oris Artelier Date

The Oris Artelier Date is one of the simplest and most minimalistic designs in the Oris Artelier collection. Sporting a hardy stainless steel case and bracelet, this classic design has existed in the luxury watch industry for several decades. That said, the Oris Artelier Date manages to create a unique identity that differentiates itself from the rest of the watches with similar designs.

The Oris Artelier Date has a blue guilloche dial with stainless steel applied markers and hands. These markers and hands are coated with the SuperLuminova luminous coating, giving it a distinct green glow in the dark. This model uses a multi-piece stainless steel case that is 40mm in diameter, making it an average-sized watch that can fit comfortably on any wrist. A small but easily legible date aperture is located at 6 o’clock. Given that the dial is quite spacious and uncluttered, it is easier to tell the time with this watch. Aside from that, the Oris Artelier Date also has a water resistance of 5 bar, which is equivalent to 50m.

The caliber movement used in the Oris Artelier Date is the Oris 733, which is based on the SW 200-1. It is a powerful automatic movement that provides reliable and precise timekeeping befitting the suave design of the Oris Artelier Date. It has a substantial power reserve of 38 hours and a consistent frequency of 28,800 VpH. This movement features a stop-seconds function, a date corrector, and a fine timing device that allows for more accurate time synchronization.

The Oris Artelier Date retails at $1,850 USD, but pre-owned versions can be found at a lower price of just $1,529 USD. This depends largely on the condition of the watch and the seller.

Oris Artelier Calibre 111

The Oris Artelier Calibre 111 is the second watch in the Oris Artelier collection to be equipped with Oris’ own in-house caliber movement. The caliber movements used in other Oris Artelier models were based on Sellita movements. Using these movements as their foundation, Oris added a few handy features to improve the Oris Artelier’s utility and distinctiveness.

The Oris Artelier Calibre 111 has a striking blue dial with a metallic shine. The applied markers and hands are made from stainless steel, with SuperLuminova coating for improved legibility in the dark. There are two sub-dials: the seconds dial at 9 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. The date aperture can also be found at 9 o’clock, next to the seconds dial. This watch also features a 43mm multi-piece stainless steel case and a stainless steel bracelet, although the latter can be swapped for several options of leather. Compared to the other models in the Oris Artelier collection, the Calibre 111 only has a water resistance of 3 bar, or 30m

The Calibre 111 is, as mentioned above, one of three in-house hand-wound movements developed entirely by Oris. This movement offers a smashing power reserve that can last up to 10 whole days without the worry of constant winding. It also has a frequency of 21,600 VpH which gives it greater precision and reliability. In addition, it comes with basic synchronization features such as: the stop-seconds function, the fine timing device, and a date corrector. This watch movement allows for flexibility, which makes it perfect for frequent watch wearers and collectors alike.

The price for the Oris Artelier Calibre 111 is currently at $6,100 USD. It is a fairly reasonable price considering the extensive power reserve and the jam-packed features this watch comes with.

Oris Artelier Calibre 112

The Oris Artelier Calibre 112 is another entry in the Oris Artelier range that is equipped with an in-house caliber movement. The Oris Artelier Calibre 112 is made with the same philosophy as the Calibre 111 but with one major difference: the presence of a GMT function that opens up several opportunities for the Calibre 112.

The Oris Artelier has a clean silver dial with sharp stainless steel appliques. It also has the SuperLuminova coating like other Oris Artelier watches. Its face features three sub-dials: the seconds dial found at 7:30 o’clock, the 12-hour night and day dial at 12 o’clock, and the power reserve meter at 3 o’clock. The date aperture is still located at 9 o’clock, just like the Calibre 111. The Oris Artelier Calibre 12 comes with a 43mm multi-piece stainless steel case and a matching stainless steel bracelet that blends well with the silver dial. Unlike Calibre 111, the Calibre 112 has a water resistance of 5 bar.

The Calibre 112 has a very similar performance to the Calibre 111. That said, the main selling point of the Calibre 112 is its GMT function. This feature can be found in the 12-hour night and day sub-dial, which can be adjusted to any preferred time zone. The stop-seconds and date corrector perfectly complement the GMT feature for more accurate time synchronization. This movement comes with a power reserve of 10 days, which is indicated on the sub-dial. It also has a frequency of 21,600 VpH to promote consistent and accurate timekeeping.

The Oris Artelier Calibre 112 can be purchased for $7,000 USD. Considering its handy GMT function, there is no doubt that this is a reasonable price for the Oris Artelier Calibre 112.

Oris Artelier Calibre 113

The Oris Artelier Calibre 113 is the most recent Oris Artelier watch to feature an in-house Oris caliber movement. The Calibre 113 is packed with robust features and functionalities, creating a definitive watch design that surpasses its predecessors. It has the same base as that of the first three in-house movements, but Oris took it to the next level and strategically engineered the Calibre 113 with a more luxurious kick.

The dial for the Oris Artelier Calibre 113 is silver, with gold-coated hands and appliques. Like other Oris Artelier watches, it uses a SuperLuminova coating that gives its hands and appliques a green glow for greater legibility in the dark. The seconds dial is located at 9 o’clock along with the date aperture, while the power reserve indicator is at 3 o’clock. The day window, however, is located below the 12 o’clock numeral. The month of the year and the number of weeks in a year are all laid out on the dial’s outer rim. This layout might be confusing at first, but it is easy to get a handle on it after a few uses. The Oris Artelier Calibre 113 retains the familiar 43mm multi-piece stainless steel case, since it has been proven to be very durable, and has a water resistance of 5 bar.

The Calibre 113 is a hand-wound movement that accurately indicates the whole date, minus the year. Aside from that, it also features the same stop-seconds function and fine timing device that previous in-house Oris caliber movements possessed. It also has a day, date, and month corrector to avoid a misconstrued reading of the time and date. It comes with a power reserve of 10 days and has a consistent 21,600 VpH frequency. All in all, the Calibre 113 is a powerhouse due to its efficient capabilities as a wristwatch.

The retail price for the Oris Artelier Calibre 113 is currently at $6,550 USD. It is a jam-packed watch that aims to be both an aesthetic statement piece and a reliable novel business calendar.

Oris Artelier Chronometer Date

The Oris Artelier Chronometer Date is another minimalist luxury design from the Artelier collection. It shares a few similarities with the Oris Artelier Date but has a more refined design that leans more towards ladies than men.

The Oris Artelier Chronometer Date has a silver guilloche dial with gold-coated hands and appliques that meshes well with the silver color scheme. The date aperture is found at 6 o’clock, much like in the Oris Artelier Date. This watch uses a 40mm multi-pieced stainless steel with the same durability as other watch models in the Artelier series. It also has a 5 bar water resistance.

The Oris Artelier Chronometer Date is equipped with the Oris 737 caliber movement that was based on the SW 200-1. It is an automatic winding movement that has a power reserve of 38 hours. Its frequency is at a consistent rate of 28,800 VpH, which allows for great accuracy in time-telling. The stop-seconds and date corrector features are also present in this caliber movement.

The Oris Artelier Chronometer Date costs $2,000 USD. This is a very budget-friendly price for a luxury watch, especially since it comes with a variety of strap options that complement the Chronometer Date’s whole design.

Limited Edition Oris Artelier Models

Oris James Morrison Academy of Music Limited Edition

The Oris James Morrison Academy of Music watch is a tribute to the famous Australian Jazz musician. It has a gradient dark blue dial that is encased in a slim 38mm multi-piece stainless steel case. Both the hands and the appliques are gold-coated. Below each hour marking, you can find elegantly printed Arabic numerals. The hands and the markings all come with SuperLuminova coatings to provide greater clarity against the dark blue colour scheme.

The Oris James Morrison Limited Edition watch is equipped with the Oris 733 automatic winding movement. It features the iconic fine timing device and the stop-seconds feature that is prevalent in the whole Oris Artelier collection. The power reserve is also at a maximum of 38 hours with a consistent frequency of 28,800 VpH.

To date, only 1234 units of the James Morrison Limited Edition have been released by Oris. Each model has a retail price of $2,100 USD, which is very affordable considering how rare this refined timepiece is. Pre-owned versions, on the other hand, cost $1,509 USD and can go even lower.

Artelier Art Blakey Limited Edition

The Artelier Art Blakey Limited Edition is also a homage to yet another renowned jazz musician. As a tribute to the American jazz drummer and bandleader Art Blakey, Oris created a watch that represents the style and the musical instrument used by the famed musician.

Designed to mimic a drum, the Artelier Art Blakey watch has a silver dial and appliques that resemble the eight claws of Art’s bass drum. The hands and the markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock are coated in SuperLuminova, which gives them a minimalist glow that adds to the watch’s cool design in the dark.

The Artelier Art Blakey timepiece makes use of the Oris 733, and thus offers the same functions as the James Morrison Limited Edition watch. There are only 1000 units of the Artelier Art Blakey Limited Edition available, and each has a retail price of $2,100 USD. With regards to pre-owned models, this watch costs $1,799 USD.
