How Much Does an Oris Aquis Watch Cost?

Due to the collection’s extensive range of timepieces, prices for Oris Aquis watches vary. A brand new Aquis timepiece starts at over a little over $1,000 USD, making them one of the best affordable dive watches in the market. Other models with more advanced complications, like chronographs, sit around $3,700 USD. However, more extravagantly designed models, such as the Oris Aquis watches with diamonds, will set you back by an estimated $5,450 USD.

Oris Aquis Date

Arguably, the most popular range in this collection is the Oris Aquis Date. It is easy to see why this range is so well-regarded. From its high-performance specifications, modern design elements, and accessible price range, these Oris Aquis watches are a go-to for both watch enthusiasts and casual watch buyers. You can distinguish the Oris Aquis Date from other Oris dive watches thanks to two characteristics: its water resistance of up to 300 meters and a date display window, which is typically located at the six o’clock position. So, how much are these diving watches worth?

The Oris Aquis Date Ref. 01 733 7730 4135-07 4 24 65EB is one of the collection’s signature models. This Swiss-made timepiece comes in a hardy stainless steel case with a ceramic bezel, paired with a blue rubber strap. The dial features a dark blue sunburst motif with luminous indices for hour markers. Both the hour and minute hands also come with a luminous fill, while the central seconds hand has a small luminous circle near its tip. Powering this Oris dive watch is the Oris Caliber 733 which has an approximate power reserve of 38 hours. The timepiece will set you back by $1,379 USD.

Another popular model in this range is the Oris Aquis Date Ref. 01 733 7730 4134-07 8 24 05PEB, which shares similar features to the model mentioned above. Unlike the Ref. 01 733 7730 4135-07 4 24 65EB, this Oris dive watch comes with a shiny black dial. Furthermore, instead of a blue rubber strap, it showcases a professional stainless steel bracelet. This diving watch sells for approximately $1,399 USD.

Oris Aquis Small Second, Date

During Baseworld 2017, Oris introduced a new iteration of its famed Aquis diver’s watches. In addition to the quintessential date display window, the Oris Aquis Small Second, Date also comes equipped with a small seconds sub-dial. You can find this subdial at the nine o’clock position of all models of the Aquis Small Second, Date. The water resistance capacity of these watches has also been increased to 500 meters.

The Oris Aquis Small Second, Date Ref. 01 743 7733 4159-07 4 24 64EB comes in a hefty 45.5mm stainless steel case on a black rubber strap. The rotating black ceramic bezel insert has a handy minute scale. It features a black dial and silver-tone hands with an orange luminous fill, which add a pop of color to the otherwise monochrome watch. The index hour markers also come with orange luminous material. Additionally, the rim of the dial also features minute markers.

The sub-dial for the small seconds counter, which can be found at the nine o’clock position, comes with orange and silver hands. To balance this feature, Oris has placed the date display window on the opposite side of the dial, at the three o’clock marker.

Powering this diving watch is the Oris Caliber 743, an automatic movement that has a power reserve of around 38 hours. You can get your hands on the Oris Aquis Small Second, Date Ref. 01 743 7733 4159-07 4 24 64EB for $1,869 USD.

Oris Aquis Big Day Date

Released in 2018, the Oris Aquis Big Day Date line is similar to its predecessor, the Oris Aquis Date, in many aspects. However, it also has features in common with the Oris Aquis Small Second, Date, such as a larger 45.5mm case and an increased water resistance capability of 500 meters. The Oris Aquis Big Day Date features a small gap between its case and bezel, which makes it easier to grip and adjust the rotating bezel. What’s more, the dial of the Oris Aquis Big Day Date also comes with an additional day and date indicator at the three o’clock position.

Priced at $2,200 USD, the Oris Aquis Big Day Date Ref. 01 752 7733 4135-07 4 24 64EB is an expertly made dive watch that comes with a mesmerizing deep blue dial. It’s housed in a stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant black ceramic bezel insert. This diving watch comes with a black rubber strap that has a stainless steel security folding clasp. Powering the Big Day Date Ref. 01 752 7733 4135-07 4 24 64EB is the Calibre 752, an automatic movement that has a 38-hour power reserve.

Oris Aquis Date Diamonds

Oris also offers a range of diver’s watches embellished with diamonds, perfect for adventurous women who want both elegance and high performance. The Oris Aquis Date Diamonds Ref. 01 733 7731 4195-07 8 18 05P comes with 11 diamond hour markers on a blue sunray dial. Ticking away inside this Oris dive watch is the Caliber 733 that’s enclosed in a 36.5mm stainless steel case. The silver-tone tungsten bezel also features a minute scale. A brand new Ref. 01 733 7731 4195-07 8 18 05P will cost you around $2,600 USD.

Another diamond-set dive watch from Oris is the Aquis Date Diamonds Ref. 01 733 7652 4991-07 4 18 31. Priced at $4,150 USD, this women’s dive watch comes with 12 dazzling diamond hour markers. On top of that, there are 118 brilliant diamonds set around the bezel. The Ref. 01 733 7652 4991-07 4 18 31 features a pure white dial encased in a gorgeous 36mm stainless steel case, which is paired with an elegant white rubber strap. Like the Ref. 01 733 7731 4195-07 8 18 05P, this Oris Aquis watch runs on the Caliber 733.

Both timepieces are water-resistant up to 300 meters and feature the signature Aquis date display window at the six o’clock position.

Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

The Aquis family also has models that boast truly cutting-edge technology. The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge is the first dive watch to employ Boyle’s Law, which allows the timepiece to measure depth by allowing water to enter it.

First released in 2013, this range of advanced diving watches from Oris uses a small opening that allows water to enter the sapphire crystal. The deeper underwater you go, the more the water pressure increases. You can then determine the depth you are at via the scale printed on the dial. So, how much are these technological marvels from Oris worth?

The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Ref. 01 733 7675 4754-SET RS sells for around $2,599 USD. This timepiece comes in a chunky yet handsome design, with a 46mm black DLC-coated stainless steel case on a vibrant yellow rubber strap. It also features a black dial with contrasting bright yellow accents. However, this color scheme is not just a design choice. The yellow numbers surrounding the dial are actually the meter marks which show just how shallow or deep you are underwater. Similar to many other Aquis dive watches, the Ref. 01 733 7675 4754-SET RS comes with a date display window at the six o’clock position and is powered by the Oris Caliber 733. It is also 500m water-resistant.

Oris Aquis GMT Date

In 2019, Oris added a GMT function to its range of 43.5mm Aquis dive watches. The second time zone display is indicated using an independent GMT hand. This GMT hand orbits a 24-hour scale that is printed on the inner portion of the dial. The ceramic bezels of the Oris Aquis GMT Date watches also come with laser-engraved 24-hour scales.

These sophisticated timepieces run on the Oris Caliber 798, an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW 330-1. The Oris Aquis GMT Date has a power reserve of 42 hours. These dive watches come in sturdy stainless steel cases, paired with either a full steel bracelet or a rubber strap in black or blue.

Priced at $1,789 USD, the Oris Aquis GMT Date Ref. 01 798 7754 4135-07 4 24 64EB comes with a deep blue dial. The silver-tone hour and minute hands are filled with luminous material. The arrowhead GMT hand of this Oris dive watch is painted yellow for greater contrast and visibility against the dial. The suave look of this model is completed by the black rubber strap that allows it to sit securely on your wrist, whether you’re on land or underwater.

Another popular model is the Oris Aquis GMT Date Ref. 01 798 7754 4135-07 8 24 05PEB. It has a design and features similar to the Ref. 01 798 7754 4135-07 4 24 64EB. However, this watch’s stainless steel case is complemented by a full stainless steel bracelet. This Oris Aquis watch costs around $2,700 USD for a brand new model.

Oris Aquis Chronograph

The brand also offers the Aquis dive watch as a chronograph. These timepieces come in massive 45.5 mm stainless steel cases. There are three subdials found on the Oris Aquis Chronograph. These include a minute counter located at the 12 o’clock position, an hour counter at the 6 o’clock position, and lastly, a small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position. These professional-grade dive watches are also water-resistant up to 500 meters.

Depending on the model you’re looking at, prices for the Oris Aquis Chronograph differ. The Oris Aquis Chronograph Ref. 01 774 7743 4155- 07 8 24 05 will cost you approximately $2,939 USD. It features a blue sunray dial and comes with a full stainless steel bracelet. Meanwhile, the Oris Aquis Chronograph Ref. 01 774 7743 4155-07 5 24 10EB comes with a handsome black leather strap. This Oris dive watch sells for approximately $2,750 USD.

Similar to other Oris Aquis watches, these chronographs feature a date display window located at the 6 o’clock marker. The Oris Aquis Chronograph runs on the Caliber 774, an automatic winding movement based on the Sellita SW 500. This caliber not only promises high precision and accuracy but also a 48-hour power reserve.

Limited Edition Oris Aquis Watches

For a decade now, Oris has been releasing numerous limited edition variants of its Aquis dive watches. These timepieces are developed in partnership with organizations dedicated to protecting the oceans and their inhabitants. Additionally, in a move to promote more ecologically friendly behavior, some of these limited edition Oris dive watches come with medals made from recycled plastic. These unique medals can be found inside their case backs.

Here are some of the most popular limited edition Oris Aquis watches that you should definitely check out.

Oris Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition

In 2019, the brand released the Oris Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition. These diver’s watches come with a bright gradient-blue dial in a 39.5mm stainless steel case. It also features an aqua-blue ceramic insert. As mentioned above, this limited edition timepiece carries a medallion of recycled PET plastic inserted into the case back. Limited to just 2,000 pieces, the Oris Aquis Clean Ocean costs approximately $2,300 USD.

Oris Aquis Source of Life Limited Edition

Before the release of the Oris Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition, we were first introduced to the Oris Aquis Source of Life Limited Edition watches in 2018. These watches were inspired by the River Rhine, one of the major European rivers which has sources in the Swiss Alps. In fact, this river even flows past the village of Hölstein, where the company’s headquarters are located.

Available in two models, these limited edition timepieces reinterpret the familiar technical characteristics of other watches from the Oris Aquis collection, such as the 300-meter water resistance. Within the inner portion of the dial lies a ring of numbers, with a white marker that moves to indicate the date.

The Oris Aquis Source of Life is limited to only 2,343 pieces. The Oris Aquis Source of Life Limited Edition Ref. 01 733 7730 4125-Set RS features a black rubber strap and sells for approximately $2,099 USD. On the other hand, the Oris Aquis Source of Life Limited Edition  Ref. 01 733 7730 4125-SET MB comes with a stainless steel bracelet. You can get your hands on this model for around $2,179 USD.

Oris Aquis Carysfort Reef Limited Edition

To continue its commitment to the preservation of aquatic resources, marine life, and underwater ecosystems, Oris introduced the Carysfort Reef Limited Edition in 2020. Available in two models, these limited edition GMT dive watches celebrate the 30,000 corals planted through the brand’s partnership with the Coral Restoration Foundation. Based in Florida, the foundation’s goal is to save and restore the world’s coral reefs on a massive scale.

Despite being based on the Aquis GMT dive watches, the Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition strays away from the typical color scheme of those timepieces. Instead, the Oris Carysfort Reef timepieces flaunt radiant blue gradient dials that bring to mind the shallow depths of Florida’s waters which are home to the coral reefs. These watches have 43.55mm stainless steel cases, and their case backs feature engraved medallions with images of three coral types found in the Carysfort Reef, which the foundation has been striving to repopulate.

Limited to 2,000 pieces, you can purchase the Carysfort Reef Limited Edition with either a stainless steel bracelet or an eye-catching orange rubber strap. The Oris Aquis Carysfort Reef Limited Edition ref. 01 798 7754 4185-Set MB with the stainless steel bracelet is priced at $2,719 USD. Meanwhile, the orange rubber strap model, the Oris Aquis Carysfort Reef Limited Edition ref. 01 798 7754 4185-Set RS is slightly more accessible at $2,449 USD.

Oris Aquis Whaleshark Limited Edition

Another limited edition range based on the Oris Aquis GMT diving watch, the Oris Whale Shark Limited Edition is made to highlight the plight of the gentle giants of the ocean.

These limited edition Oris dive watches have a similar look and feel to the Oris Carysfort Reef timepieces. Both models come in stainless steel 43.5mm cases with bi-directional rotating ceramic bezels that have 24-hour GMT scales. The case back of the Oris Aquis Whale Shark, however, features an engraving of a whale shark in the center. Another unique aspect of this timepiece is its blue dial. The dial comes engraved with an unusual speckled pattern and is lacquered, which is meant to represent the texture of whale shark skin.

Limited to 2016 pieces, the Oris Whale Shark Limited Edition retails at an estimated $3,200 USD.

Oris Aquis Star Wars Stormtrooper Limited Edition

In 2018, Oris joined forces with Star Wars to launch two special edition timepieces. They are the Oris Star Wars Stormtrooper Limited Edition, which is limited to 1,300 pieces, and the Oris Darth Vader Limited Edition, which has only 250 pieces in circulation. These timepieces are sold exclusively in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and the United States.

While the Darth Vader-inspired timepiece is part of the brand’s more serious ProDiver range, it is the stormtrooper-themed model that belongs to the Aquis collection. The Star Wars Stormtrooper Limited Edition is water-resistant up to 300 meters and runs on the Caliber 743, which has an approximate power reserve of 38 hours.

The overall design of this model pays homage to the uniform of a stormtrooper, with a white bezel, sans the diving scale in black. Moreover, the 12 o’clock marker on the bezel features the Star Wars TIE Fighter. When you flip the watch over, you can see an engraving of a Stormtrooper helmet on the case back.

The dial of the Oris Star Wars Stormtrooper Limited Edition comes in black with white indices. An imperial crest can also be found on the sub-dial at the 9 o’clock marker. Indeed, this limited edition Oris Aquis watch is a splendid timepiece that any Star Wars fan would love to own. The Oris Star Wars Stormtrooper Limited Edition retails at $2,999 USD.

The Latest Oris Aquis 2021 Models

In 2021, the brand unveiled numerous new models for the Aquis collection. This includes the Oris Aquis Whale Shark Limited Edition range, but the brand certainly did not stop there.

Oris Aquis Dat Watt Limited Edition

The Swiss brand also introduced another limited edition model hailed as the Oris Aquis Dat Watt Limited Edition. Created in collaboration with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, this latest Oris Aquis watch is made to highlight the conservation of the Wadden Sea. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest tidal system and is a key site for migratory birds.

The dial of this limited edition timepiece comes in a gradient blue/gray finish that also depicts the lunar cycle and tidal range for the earth’s Northern hemisphere. Limited to only 2,009 pieces, this dive’s watch retails at around $2,750 USD. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this limited edition timepiece will go to funding the protection of the Wadden Sea.

Oris AquisPro Date Calibre 400

The Oris AquisPro Date Caliber 400 became an instant bestseller when it was released in early 2021. It comes equipped with the brand’s in-house Caliber 400 movement. This Oris caliber boasts an impressive power reserve of 120 hours and uses both a silicon escape wheel and a silicon anchor. It features an improved anti-magnetism capacity and incredible accuracy that puts chronometers to shame. The water-resistance capacity of this watch has also been increased to a whopping 1000 meters.

The AquisPro Date Caliber 400 comes in a DLC-coated black titanium case with a ceramic bezel and a rubber strap. It also doubles down on the features offered to better emphasize its “Pro," moniker. For instance, this watch comes equipped with advanced features like the Rotation Safety System and the Oris Safety Anchor. The Rotation Safety System allows the ceramic bezel to lock until the diver unlocks it by lifting and twisting it. Meanwhile, the Oris Safety Anchor ensures that the watch stays on a diver’s wrist no matter what, even if the clasp accidentally slips open.

This advanced dive watch sells for around $3,750 USD, making it one of the most expensive watches in the Oris Aquis collection.

Oris Aquis's History and Design Details

Founded in 1904, this Swiss-based watch manufacturer has been a go-to for many watch buyers, especially those in the market for high-quality timepieces at reasonable prices. The brand currently offers three dive watch collections. However, the most popular range is, arguably, the Aquis line.

First introduced in 2011, the Oris Aquis collection offers a wide selection of high-performance diver’s watches with prices that won’t break the bank. Aimed at a wider diving community, the Aquis timepieces all come with sleek and simple designs. Unlike other dive watch lines, Aquis timepieces flaunt a classic look that will never go out of style. Regardless of whether you’re on dry land or underwater, these diver’s watches will look appealing on any wrist.

The Oris Aquis comes with a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, and a lollipop seconds hand. Luminous material is used to fill the applied index hour markers and hands, guaranteeing excellent readability even in the depths of the sea. These timepieces also boast impressive water resistance capabilities. The standard Oris Aquis models can withstand up to 300 meters of water pressure, while more advanced models are water-resistant up to 500 meters and 1000 meters.

The Aquis collection features dive watches with stainless steel cases, scratch-resistant sapphire crystals, and a choice of four different straps. The dials of these timepieces come in various colors, with the most dominant shade being blue, to represent the waves of the sea. Indeed, the Oris Aquis line is the perfect diving companion that’s wrapped in a sporty yet classic package for a relatively decent price.
