M038.431.37.051.09, in particular, is a 42mm watch cased in stainless steel with black PVD coating and a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflection treatment. The watch has a spacious dial that comes in black for this model and displays a day and date at 3 o’clock, finished off with the iconic Geneva stripes design. It also features a graduated bezel and a refined satin-finished index and hands. This $1,380 USD Multifort watch is also the first to use the Automatic Mido Caliber 80 COSC Si (base ETA C07.821) caliber that is equipped with up to 80 hours of power reserve, along with a silicon balance-spring, and a chronometer COSC.

The dual-timezone Mido Multifort GMT collection features three varieties with two models cased in stainless steel with PVD coating of black or rose gold and the other in simple stainless steel. Like the Mido Multifort GMT collection, the Multifort Power Reserve also has three varieties all with the 42 mm cases made of either stainless steel or stainless steel with anthracite or black PVD coating. Mido Multifort Power Reserve Ref. M038.424.33.061.00 in particular is cased in stainless steel with anthracite PVD coating which perfectly contrasts the green Super-LumiNova in the hands and indices. It also has a power reserve indicator located at 9 o’clock that has up to 80 hours of power reserve. Multifort Gent has nine varieties of models under their wing boasting a 42 mm size casing in plain stainless steel or stainless steel with black or rose gold PVD coating. This collection has the simplest design, with three-hand dials that display a day date window at the 3 o’clock position. Ticking inside is an Automatic Mido Caliber 80 (base ETA C07.621) with a power reserve of up to 80 hours. The dial varies from silver, black, anthracite, or gunmetal colors with applied indexes or Arabic numerals while the straps are either stainless steel or leather. The Ref. M005.430.37.051.80 model that comes in a black and orange contrasting look is priced at $1,030 USD. 

Prices for the Mido Multifort Patrimony Watches

Among all the collections under the Multifort, the Mido Patrimony is the only one that does not boast a Geneva strips dial. Instead, it is sunray brushed and gradient smooth. One of the most popular models, for example, is the M040.427.36.042.00, a Multifort Patrimony Chronograph that pays homage to the brand’s oldest chronograph, the Multichrono from 1937. 

The 42mm watch houses two counters and a date window at 6 o’clock. Giving an interesting mix of vintage and modern style, the watch boasts a domed bicompax dial and tachymeter scale at the edge. History Behind the Mido Multifort Collection

Mido was first established in 1918 by Mr. Georges Schaeren, an ingenious Swiss watchmaker who founded MIDO G. Schaeren & Co.
