Prices for the Omega De Ville Hour Vision Series

Apart from its sophisticated and sleek look, the De Ville Co-Axial Hour Vision line boasts its outstanding Master Chronometer. It passed a series of tests conducted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). A fact about this is that before one gets certified by the METAS, it has to be certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) first. The standards to be met are precision, anti-magnetic properties, shock resistance, durability, water resistance, and less servicing. Timepieces from this collection have a size of 41mm, have an impressive resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and are offered in a variety of cases, dials, and bracelets. Some are even made with 18K Sedna™ gold.

Ref. 433.13.41.22.03.001 is a beautiful watch with a unique two-tone blue dial that looks chic paired with its matching blue leather strap. On its 3 o’clock mark are the months and days windows and the “CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER” label is above its 6 o’clock mark. What is more is that the hands and indices are both made of 18K white gold. This stainless watch has an open back casing allowing you to see its impressive movement. This is priced at $10,600 USD.

Shifting to a more fancy timepiece, we have Ref. 433.50.41.22.03.001this one has gold all over it. From the case, bracelet, hands, and indices, all are made with 18K Sedna™ gold. A deluxe watch like this costs $38,200 USD.

Prices for the Omega De Ville Ladymatic Watches

The Ladymatic line was built for the 21st century women. It is inspired by the self-winding Ladymatic watch in 1955 but reinvented with more intricate details and a unique silhouette. The timepieces have a dainty size of just 34mm and come with exquisite diamonds. For the case, you have a choice of 18k yellow or red gold, stainless steel, or a combination of gold and steel. As for the bezel, you can choose between polished or snow-set diamond-paved ones. Watches in this line either have mother-of-pearl or Supernova patterned dials that come in a variety of colors that truly look elegant and feminine. The luxury editions even have diamonds arranged in the shape of a flower on their dials.

The Ref. 425.37.34.20.57.003 has a pleasant shade of powder blue for its mother-of-pearl dial that matches with its leather strap. This strap is connected to its stainless steel case using wave patterned links that add more style to the watch. It has white gold alpha-shaped hands and a date display on its 3 o’clock mark. For some glam, snow-set diamonds cover its dial and 11 indices are marked using diamonds as well. But let us not forget the polished crown that has its own single diamond for added detail. This is priced at $17,200 USD. If you want to match with the famous actress Nicole Kidman, go for Ref. 425.65.34.20.55.010. It uses 18ct Sedna™ gold for its case and bracelet and has a white pearled, mother-of-pearl dial. You can get this for $38,700 USD.

A more luxurious option would be, of course, the luxury edition watches. Ref. 425.67.34.20.55.005 has 184 full-cut diamonds covering its whole bezel. Along with that is the 18K yellow gold with mother-of-pearl marquetry dial that features diamonds layed out in the shape of a flower. It does not stop there, we have to mention that the 18K yellow gold links have snow-set diamonds as well. It is attached to an 18K yellow gold case and a white satin-brushed leather strap. A watch this grand is priced at $46,800 USD.

Prices for the Omega De Ville Tourbillon Models

Similar to the Hour Vision line, the De Ville Tourbillon Master Chronometer line is also a Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) certified Master Chronometer. This means it also went through and passed rigorous tests that proved it worthy to be labeled as Master Chronometer. In fact, according to Omega, it is “the first manual-winding central tourbillon to be Master Chronometer certified”. Aside from its resistance to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss, it also resists the effects of gravity due to its tourbillon carriage. In addition to that is a power reserve that can last up to three days that can be monitored inside its transparent caseback. Its Calibre 2640 is made with 18ct Sedna™ gold bridges and main plate. The same material is used for its black PVD treated sun-brushed dial, its bezel, and its polished seconds hand while the case and crown is a mix of 18K Sedna™ gold and 18ct Canopus™ gold. Moving on with the star feature of this timepiece, the tourbillon cage, it has hand polished bevels in black ceramised titanium. To finish off the look is a black leather strap with polished 18xt Sedna™ gold buckle. This golden watch is priced at $176,500 USD.

Prices for the Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph Series

While numerous chronograph watches are geared toward the sporty and bulky side, the De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph line is more on the elegant and classic side of the spectrum. Measuring 42mm, the timepieces are available in stainless steel or 18xt Sedna gold. As for the dial, there are three options: silver, blue, or black. On these dials you will see a 60 minute counter at 3 o’clock, a date window at 6 o’clock, and a 12 hour counter at 9 o’clock. Moreover, they have a power reserve of 60 hours. To top this off, you can choose between a leather strap or metal bracelet. For a stainless steel case and a metal bracelet, it will cost you $6,500 USD while a leather strap would be $4,200 USD. The 18xt Sedna gold ones will cost around $15,000 to $22,500 USD.

2020 & 2021 Omega De Ville — What's New?

As the name suggests, the 40mm watches boast an impressive 72-hour power reserve and both contain Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre. The first one has an 18k Sedna gold case paired with an elegant burgundy dial. On its 6 o’clock mark is a seconds subdial in the same color. Not only that, the leather strap matches with these two giving it a cohesive look. It is priced at $16,900 USD. The next one is fancier with its 18k yellow gold case paired with a gray strap and its 18k yellow gold hands and indices on its white dial. Similar to the burgundy, it has a seconds subdial at 6 o’clock but is added with a power reserve subdial at 12 o’clock. This one costs $17,500 USD.

History Behind the Omega De Ville Collection

De Ville watches originally belonged to the Seamaster collection in the 1960s. However, in 1967, Omega decided to create a separate collection solely for De Ville. It became the more elegant and dressier counterpart of the sporty Seamaster. The collection had so much variety in terms of color and cases that by the 1970s, the collection won multiple awards such as the Grand Prix Triomphe de L’Excellence Européenne and an outstanding six “Golden Roses” during the 1970 Baden-Baden design awards. In fact, the collection became one of the most sought after timepieces from Omega. Although there have been changes in the collection like patterned case backs and diamonds, diamond-set bezels, and 18k gold parts, it remained loyal to its trademark of being a collection of classic and sophisticated timepieces.
